Carmichael's Kids Hosts: A Valentine's Day Concert with Heidi Howe

Heidi Howe is excited to bring a Valentine's Day concert to the new Carmichael's Kids bookstore!

An award-winning singer, songwriter, music teacher and performer, Heidi began writing and playing songs for adult audiences when she was barely an adult herself. Now, with many favorable reviews, television appearances, national concerts and six albums under her belt, she also devotes much of her energy to bringing fun, rewarding musical experiences to children and families. Her work has been praised in many publications such as No Depression Magazine and The Chicago Parent Magazine, and her music has been broadcast on radio stations all over the world.

In addition to recording her own music, Heidi has also produced albums that benefit charitable organizations. Her efforts to share her nationally celebrated children's CD Give a Hootenanny! Twangy Tunes About Lovin' the Earth and donate books to libraries garnered her an E-chievement award from the E-town Radio Show as well as kudos from Al Gore. She has created music curriculum for The Kentucky Center in Louisville and for the KET Arts Toolkit that is used in Kentucky schools.

This concert is best for kids ages 8 and younger.
