Acting Against Cancer, formerly known as Kids Acting Against Cancer, inc, a nonprofit theatre company that performs theatrical productions to raise money for pediatric cancer research and treatment, will be performing the electric new Broadway musical Next to Normal.
Next to Normal is a powerfully cathartic show. It follows the daily life of a seemingly typical American family: Mom makes breakfast, Dad goes to work, and Sister and Brother go to high school. But this family is far from normal as Mom has been battling severe bipolar disorder - complete with vivid hallucinations - for sixteen years. Emotional and powerful, the show presents this American family’s story with heart, compassion and unwavering honesty. Winner of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for drama, Next to Normal engages its audience unlike any show ever has before.
The show will take place at 8:00 p.m. on January 30 and 31 and February 6, 7 and 9. A matinee showing at 2:00 p.m will be on February 8. There will also be a half-priced industry night at 8:00 pm on Monday, February 2. There will be no show on Superbowl Sunday, February 1. The house opens half an hour prior to all performances. The show runs two hours and fifteen minutes with one fifteen-minute intermission. Next to Normal contains mild adult language and adult themes and is not recommended for audiences under 13.
Tickets are $19 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online in advance at
