Exploring One of the Weirdest Businesses in Louisville
Waverly Hills Sanatorium

LIBA is always trying to "Keep Louisville Weird" so we thought it would be awesome to explore one of Louisville's weirdest businesses!

So join us for a little history, lunch and a spooky good time as we explore Waverly Hills Sanatorium - one of the "most haunted places on earth"! We'll begin with lunch and a film in the old laundry facilities, then tour the grounds around the old hospital.

Waverly Hills Sanatorium is a closed sanatorium located in southwestern Louisville, KY.  It opened in 1910 as a two-story hospital to accommodate 40 to 50 tuberculosis patients. In the early 1900s, Jefferson County was ravaged by an outbreak of tuberculosis (the "White Plague") which prompted the construction of a new hospital. The hospital closed in 1961 and is considered to be haunted.

For lunch, we will be offering a pizza buffet (with a variety of pizza's) from Khalil's.  The cost of the pizza buffet will be $7.50 per person (drinks are included).

Thanks to our September event sponsor:
