Will Your Business Make History?

at Farmington Historic Plantation

One way to make history is to be around a LONG time. What will happen to your business when you’re ready to retire or move on to your next endeavor? Now is the time to start making plans for your business’ future, for your own peace of mind and so we have a healthy local, independent business scene for many generations to come. (Even after all the Baby Boomers retire!) Whether you plan to pass the torch on to the next generation in your family or you’ve been thinking about Employee Ownership; the decisions you make today will impact your business in the future.

Join us at Farmington Historical Plantation on Tuesday, June 21 to hear from a panel of Succession Planning experts, including Dave Oetken (Small Business Development Center and Certified in Succession Planning), Patrick Schmidt (Exit Planning Institute) and Vaughan Scott (Family Business Center - affiliated faculty in the UofL College of Business). We will also hear real life stories from LIBA Members - Lauren Hendricks (Cambium Marketing) and Summer Auerbach (Rainbow Blossom).

After lunch and the panel discussion have concluded, Farmington will be giving tours of the museum free of charge to all attendees interested.  Donations to their foundation will be accepted.

Box Lunches provided by Ladyfingers Catering are available for $12 per person or you can bring your own lunch.  Water and soft drinks will be provided.
