Door Store and Windows has been a part of the Louisville business family for 25 years. The company specializes in providing quality windows and doors to homeowners, builders and remodelers. They want to be sure that their customers have products to enhance a home’s beauty - but also help improve its value - while reducing energy and maintenance costs for many years to come.
Ann Gregory founded Door Store and Windows and was later joined by her sister Laurie Scarborough as co-owner. Laurie came to Door Store and Windows after spending time in another family business that fabricated entry door systems.
Both Gregory and Scarborough have business degrees in accounting. Scarborough studied at the University of Kentucky and pursued her CPA. She worked with Humana where she held managerial positions in the tax department, finance, treasury and investor relations. After 13 years, she decided working with family was a better fit. Gregory studied at Indiana University Southeast. She also worked in public accounting and at Humana in the finance department as Assistant Treasurer. In 1997, family and other investors recruited her to form Door Store. As a founding owner, she felt she’d found her true calling as a sales professional of doors and windows.
Since 2006, when Scarborough joined her in the business, Door Store and Windows has continued its journey as an important local enterprise. Local businesses help sustain a vibrant and flourishing community. Door Store and Windows is proud to help boost the local economy, create well-paying jobs and provide quality products and services to local area residents and builders.
“We feel that our associates and products are the best in the industry,” said Laurie Scarborough. “Though we are local, we are known nationally for the quality of our work and the level of service we provide. We think of our customers as our friends and neighbors, so we work tirelessly to deliver a remarkable experience and ensure their complete satisfaction.”
Door Store and Windows is proud to be a part of the Louisville Independent Business Alliance, as they continue their mission to grow a vibrant local business ecosystem in the city.
